History
HQ SS series 2 built in December 1972 originally 253 4 speed 3.36 LSD Salisbury. 1 of only 2800 cars produced, built to test the waters to see if the 4 door GTS would sell so they were produced in 2 runs the first being 1600 and the second 1200 cars. Only made in 3 colours Lettuce Alone, Infa Red and Ultra Violet. First produced in August/September 1972 and then again in December 1972. They were based on the V8 Belmont and had a GTS dash, wheels and seats fitted. Series 1 had Houndstooth seat inserts and the series 2 were trimmed with Rado inserts. Door trims were still Belmont vinyl with no arm rests (were an option). The series 1 cars had the stripes done in stickers and the series 2 cars had the stripes painted on.
