I purchased an XRGT and there was a cover note from a finance company on it. I was 21 yo. After 8 months and seeing a lot of politicians I got the car back. I then drove it for about 3 years and had an accident. I had to go around a right hand turen in the rain and the car just did 3x 360 degree rotations and ended up in someones yard. I took it to a mechanic and he started to restore it. Unfortunately I ran out of money and had to sell it in parts. A mate of mine learned how to paint using this car. After 3 paint jobs this thing shone light a light even when it was dirty. It had no orange peel and it was just a thing of beauty. To this day I believe that I have not seen a better paint job/ body job as all the panel took 4 weeks to fit and every break between panels were tested. By this time I had sold the car it had a 400 horsepower 289, a close ratio toploader and a9inch diff that had been prepared by a great specialist.
