History
We purchased the Sandman in 2019 and restored the vehicle back to factory specifications with exception with modifying the engine. This 1976 HX Holden Sandman is Numbers Matching, which has been verified by Holden Historical Service. It has been fully rebuilt with a nut and bolt rotisserie restoration in 2019/2020. The Sandman is Chamois in colour with Tan interior and has Purple, Plum, and Dark Blue Decals on the side. The Sandman has a custom mattress by Trimcare WA and has matching Retro Esky with same decals as the car. The motor has only done 3000 kms since rebuild.
The Sandman has been featured in the Australian Muscle Magazine Issue 120 and has win Top Van at Motorvation 35 in Perth this year, furthermore, was in the Top Ten Vans at the WA Van State Titles in April 2021.
Our Van is called XU1 Sandman and you can find on Facebook and Instagram as @XU1Sandman.

Modifications
It has the original 202 6-cylinder engine that has been bored 60k, forged internals, lumpy cam, Yella Terra Rockers and fully blueprinted. It also has genuine XU1 GTR Bathurst Triple Stomberg carbies for performance added power and the original M20 4 speed manual gearbox. Running on GTS Factory 14” rims with red walled 245/50/R14 tyres and LSD diff. It has a custom twin Lukey performance twin exhaust system and sound like a lumpy V8 Motor. No one picks it with the bonnet down.
