History
"Ollie" has a complete history as one of 12 cars sent to Pressed Metal Corporation at Enfield, NSW in August 1960. Car No8/91846/863.
She is presented as Hawthorne Green, (the same colour as the 55 Le Mans winning Jaguar), that is arguably the "real" British Racing Green.
The original Le Mans styling achieved was all hand crafted, pressed metal, starting with a complete, impeccable, body off restoration and nuts and bolts rebirth around 2007. She has since traveled just 1800 miles.
The rebirth included a fully re-worked motor, with fast cam, roller rockers, hand made flat top pistons, balanced and dyno tuned, along with a special new clutch to manage the torque and slight lowering of the car.
Receipts for restoration and works exceed $100,000!
Sitting mainly unused and unseen for many years, her recent acquisition and re housing, from country NSW to Tasmania covered some 900 miles, in under 2 days under her own steam.
Many finer touches addressed since then, ensure this car remains as "the best of the best" MGA's in the world!
A pictorial and written history of the car and its rebirth is available.
She now sits safely and comfortably beside her Concours, 2021 Class winning, 1966 MGB.
