History
I bought this unusual car sight unseen, off Carsales.com in 2010 I then went about trying to identify it but with little success. I eventually fell upon another owner and between us we researched the car. A couple of old Sportscar World magazines shed a little more light on its heratige and after I posted a short video on Youtube I was contacted by the Business owner who manufactured them. His name is Colin Simmonds and his business was Pandarus Sports Cars Ltd in Seaford, near Melbourne. Contact was made with Colin and another 2 owners were located. The Pandarus features a 22 piece fibreglass body moulded off an Austin Healey 100/4 then married to a modified Toyota Crown chassis. A removable hard top is included. It has a Leyland P76 V8 bored out to 4.6 with a custom made manifold and with a Toyota 5 speed gearbox. As it was in the original condition and well used, I am in the process of bringing it back to a more worthy condition.
All in all only 5 cars were built before ADRs made it impractictable to continue production. More information about the 4 cars found so far can be found on my site pandarussportscars on Google
