History
The car was purchased in January 1988 in quite poor condition. It was deep metallic blue with a vinyl roof and velour upholstery and had the wrong gearbox. The car body has been restored twice once in 1995 and in 2012. This time it has been completely repaired and a full 2 pack paint job. The upholstery was still good from the 1995 restoration so only the hood lining and carpets have been replaced. As this is a genuine GT built at Broadmeadows, it has been modified in sympathy with the era in which it was made (1960's). No silly modern mods such as ultra low profile tyres and large diameter wheels, later model motor etc.
Modifications
The engine has recently been completely rebuilt (including a rebore and sleeving), running through a 2" exhaust system and converted for unleaded petrol. The head is ported and polished, the webber carby has recently been refurbished and the electrics are handled by an alternator. It is to be fitted with electronic ignition and a thermo matic fan. It is lowered 2 inches (springs and struts were professionally reset), HD Monroe shock absorbers etc. It has Performance Superlite wheels running 205/60/13 Falken Ziex tyres. The car is fitted with Lous style bumperettes on the front and also has a wood rimmed steering wheel.
