History
Bought the car from some young blokes in WA who didn't know much about bmws and didn't know how to stop the car from overheating, They had done all they could by giving it to a mechanic to change out the radiator, water pump and so on but not one of them picked up on a leak from a crack in the thermostat housing. So I made an offer of $800.after learning that the car still had Six months Rego. left and I had myself a bmw. After replacing the thermostat housing and a cracked windscreen I had myself a really nice car. The car Has given me about 5 years of trouble free motoring until now were I have just had to replace some gaskets and rebuild the VANOS system, new brakes, disc and shoes, new bearings all round, new bushes suspension front and rear, new struts front and rear. along with all belts and some hoses along with aircon regas. All I can say about the M50 twin cam engine is that it's just incredible all the punishment it has taken over the years and still going strong to date. Sep, 2018.
Modifications
Changed out the light grey velour interior for light grey leather with electric seats, up graded the rear bearings from the small 2 litre to the bigger and more common bearings and housings. Also changed out the single disc for the vented discs up front for better stopping power. The car also sits now on 19" bmw rims.
