History
I bought this car from a mate of my Dad's son in 1983, newly on my P's, for $700. It was a manual, which I couldn't drive, so my Dad had to drive it home from the Blue Mountains to Sydney's northern beaches for me. Luckily there was a nice young bloke from my church who offered to teach me to drive a manual, very patiently on his Datsun 200B. That bloke is now my husband and we celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary next month! The Hillman, on the other hand, didn't last too long. The tailpipe fell off at one stage and was replaced with a cat food tin. True story. I sold it for $500. It is probably a vintage car now....
