This car is number 526.
Originally sold NEW in November, 1950 to D.N Moss of NSW this particular 120C has an excellent racing history with several racing car drivers having owned her. In 1952 the vehicle was transported back to the UK by its 4th owner, I.D.Kitto who had it perfectly rebuilt by Jaguar Cars, Coventry. The rebuild consisted of C Type competition parts including such items as a special camshafts, Crankshafts, Solid center and stronger clutch, flywheel and stiffer suspension and so on.
The racing history with owner, Bib Stillwell is impressive. Bib was a recognized racing car driver and he raced this Jaguar under the number 56 (documentation and photographs are provided). Bib raced the car at Rob Roy and Fisherman’s Bend. The car did very well on the track under Stillwell. The car was also raced at Philip Island (No 45) and Templestowe.
Additionally, Murray Carter car raced it in 1957.
The car was also raced at Goodwood and Silverstone in England. It was also entered at Nurburgring and raced on ice in Sweden.
This vehicle has had a complete restoration. All numbers are correct. There are two large volumes of paperwork and a full photo album of work completed.
The restoration work was extremely comprehensive.
