History
This EJ Holden Special was purchased at Frankston in Victoria from Bayside Motors Pty. Ltd. on 16th October 1962 for 1143 poundss,16 shillings and sixpence It was driven locally until 1987 when it ceased to be driven and was put into storage for 20 years.
In 2007 it was purchased, given a tidy-up and resold to its current owner.Thus it is a third owner vehicle.
The same year, 2007, it underwent a complete restoration,other than the suspension (it had only travelled 24702 miles),over a nine year period.The body was taken back to bare metal,rust removed,and painted in 2-pac paint.The interior is in original condition - upholstery, door cards etc. with new floor mats including the boot being installed. Chrome,stainless steel trim are original.They were too good to undergo restoration.The motor and gearbox were reconditioned,and engine bay repainted along with the underbody.
It was re-registered in Queensland 28/9/2016 and with current original 26117 miles on the clock.
