I purchased the car 3 years ago from Dane who had the car totally body off restoration over a 30 month period for a cost of over $150,000, yes $150 K.
After 12 months and 1800 klms after the restoration he had some work done to remove a relay on the electric fuel pump and the car caught on fire, causing damage to the paint, engine and wiring, and that's where I purchased it damaged.I had it trucked home and then went about getting it back on the road.
I repaired the wiring with some help and had the damaged paint repaired, pulled out and stripped the motor and rebuilt it.
Modifications
The motor is a Scat 1916cc, 69mm crank, 94 bores, stock heads, 1.25/1 rockers, 40mm carbs, H/D alloy pushrods,12lb lightened flywheel, H/D clutch, external oil filter, Ceramic coated exhaust. imported from USA
DUB 17 x 7 rims, 195x50x16 tyres, 4 wheel discs, Coil over front shocks, H/D front sway bar. Custom boot, and wiring behind the dash that scares the daylights out of you.
House of Colour paint, Silver to gold at $1600 per litre.
