History
This Mustang was discovered in a Californian warehouse along with other cars in 2003. It had been in storage since 1978 & was completely rust free.
This is one of two Candy apple red GT Mustangs that was imported to Australia, the other GT went to Canberra for restoration.
From when it arrived in March 2003 it was the start of an eighteen year nut & bolt restoration. It was a San Jose built car which came with the original black plates & title. It appears the car frequented the LA area after discovering Hollywood drive in ticket stubs under the seats. It is a factory auto 289 GT with A/C & P/S. It was optioned with a black vinyl roof & non pony interior with bench seat in black.
Modifications
The only modifications are aluminium heads, Shelby top arm drop,15 inch wheels & a larger 22 gallon stainless fuel tank.
