History
This was one of the first Bluemotion Golfs delivered in Oz. An incredible car which on one trip gave us nearly 1000km to a tank f diesel and regularly got 800km even with city driving. This was around the time VW made some poor decisions re their fuel economy and were subsequently fined. We could not complain about this car's fuel economy, nor its comfort or drivability.
The Bluemotion was a separate model rather than just the economical version of a Golf. It had different wheels & tyres as well as side skirts that were all to add to the fuel economy. One of the best cars we have ever owned, not flashy or fancy, but reliable and comfortable.
