I bought this off a service station forecourt in North Melbourne for $1200. It was my first everyday car, and it was a nightmare on wet roads, tram lines and white road markings. The back would slide out on every roundabout over 10kmh, and so I took to leaving stuff in the back to give it some weight. One night someone cut through the tonneau cover, it was just as easy to unhook it, and stole all my tools etc out of it. I crashed it in Coburg one day when a guy stopped in front of me, hit the brakes and it slid into a woman's parked Torana. I got a lime green bonnet off an XA GT, a grille & bumper from the wreckers. I sold it to my brother who lost it one wet night and put it into a pole punching in the passenger side sill & door. Got a brown door from a wrecked XA coupe, fitted it and left the sill crunched. He drove it like that for a couple more years till the spare wheel fell out one day as the tray & door had rusted so badly. Sold it to the wreckers! The doors alone were worth $1000 by then.
