Purchased new at Motors in Launceston Tas. December 1980.
Rebuilt bottom end after 500000 k now fully balanced buick. Watched it being built.
Stripped to chasis in around 2012 sandblasted complete repaint in two pac as was in the tropics. Heads reconditioned and converted to unleaded (ss guides etc). Spent a month putting it back together and drove to Tasmania with around a ton and a half on board.
In Tas went to old mate Steven Bell and had complete carby rebuild, top ball joints replaced, alignment etc.
Went to the old one tonner rear springs (added a leaf).
Still driving and working, up to around 600000 Ks now and going like new.
Modifications
Alo Roo Bar off an HZ in Melbourne.
Twin electric fans in custom stainless shroud for radiator. (original fan not the best in Brisbane traffic.)
