History
This 1976 Mark II Escort was Prepared for rallying in 1986. It competed in the hands of various drivers in the SA Rally Championship for some years before being transformed for circuit racing as a sports sedan.
I purchased the vehicle in a tired state in 2002.With the help of my son Joseph and Crew Members Olev and Nick the Escort was stripped back to a shell and rebuilt for Tarmac Rallies. Since then it has completed 10 Classic Rallies , picking up a few Class Wins along the way as well as some rewarding outright finishes.
