History
Purchased by my son a few years ago from Peter Robinson (Captain Corolla) as a restoration project but work & family changes put his plans (and budget) on hold. After languishing in the weather for way too long it was decided that our younger son (who was finacially secure) and I would purchase the car for a joint project. By this time, we had built another shed so were able to keep the car out of the weather. Slowly but surely we are getting the body restored. The car was pretty good mechanically although we discovered when we drove it home from the city that around half the wheel cylinders were seized. Brakes were renewed, new manifold gasket installed and a general mechanical tidy up. Interior is pretty tidy- quite useable. There was more rust than expected so it was hand-balled to our neighbour Charlie (who did the repairs on our Datsun) for some TLC. He got it up to undercoat state for me to now practice my spray painting skills, which are developing slowly. It's going to be a daily driver, not a show car, nicely set off by the period-correct 5 slot "Jelly Bean" alloy wheels.
Modifications
All original (for now) apart from the aforementioned wheels.
