History
I've owned three of these , they are built to last , I rank them as one of the best cars ever , regardless of where they were built or how much they cost the design integrity is on an equal footing with the best from Europe , & when comparrison tests were done most of the motoring journo's had to admit , that if you took brands out of the equation , then this car won hands down every time , not just as value for moneybut for sheer quality both in design & execution/construction . GM Holden were looking to make statement that this car was as good as the best from europe , that during the WB's development the Holden engineers & planners had listened to all the requests to better or fine tune the existing Statesman, the WB was the result , with more rear legroom , better more powerful air conditioning , better rear head room, more useful shaped boot, a spare that sat vertically in the boot taking up less room and being easy to obtain when needed , the Caprice has German designed front & rear bucket seats, the same company designed a cheaper version for Mercedes Benz new S class sedans for 1981 !!
