History
My parents Jaguar seen here at Sydney Airport when you could park, legally and for free on the ramp near departures !! They owned this lovely car for over a quarter of a century until on a christmas day it was run into by a drunk & drugged driver ruining it .These big Jaguars are one of the best handling of all the 1960's big luxury cars, they have powerful engines & impeccable handling with their great independant rear suspension & inboard rear disc brakes and for ease of servicing the giant bonnet hinges forward giving easy access to everything , the big 6 cylinder engine looks small in the engine bay , as when this car was developed , Jaguar used it as their test bed for the V12 programme & at one stage the idea of fitting Daimler's 4.5litre Hemi V8 , over the years I have seen several with V8 conversions , even one with a big 455ci Buick big block , this is an over 7 litre engine , that fitted like a hand in a glove & gave the Jag that it was fitted to even more stuning performance & V8 reliability .
