History
Fitted with 1962cc 4cyl, around 130-14HP. Originally USA-spec with Fuel injection but swapped for period Dellorto 40 carbs and "meaner" intake manifold. Also rebuilt the 5-speed gearbox and replaced the 4-wheel discs and servo. Also did extensive sand-blasting to get rid of the rusty bits, and sorted out all the electrical niggles it still had when I bought it.
I had a good Pioneer stereo in there but rarely used it - the sound of that engine was pure bliss! I ended up doing more than 45000km in the 3 years I had it.
Have always regretted selling this beauty, and it still remains my favorite car of all time.
