History
As I have only owned her since 2012, i do not know much of her history. All I know is that being a Holden girl since birth (Dad worked in a Holden factory in Perth when I was born ; ) ), I have wanted a VT commodore for quite some time. ; ) When i bought her, she had stock rims, faded yellowed headlights and little did I know it at the time, I would have to get the heads replaced....much $$$$!! I have since put 18" wheels on, replaced the old headlights with VT Altezzas to match the rear lights, new exhaust system as the old one fell apart. ; ) When I bought her, the guy who sold her to me must've had had his hand on it (scuse the rough language) because he said she had 30 thou over pistons in her....and when i had the heads replaced, my mechanic told me she just has a cam. I have nicknamed her Stormy, because she sounds like thunder. Lol ; ) Anyway, it's fine as she does go a little bit harder than your average stock VT...as I've since found out at the traffic lights... ; ). But I am seriously thinking about adding an extra two cylinders into her engine bay, as well as new paint job with the requisite rust removed, a tidy up of her interior and her suspension freshened up too. People have told me she's not worth spending this sort of money on, why not just buy a new Commodore, but I feel since Holden won't be making anymore Australian made Commodores, that I will be glad I have restored/made her better in years to come. ; )
