You know when you build a fire at a camp site, everyone turns up with a beer. Well this car is the same. The Datsun enthusiasts came out of the woodwork to help shed build this fire red 180B SSS. The list is long of who helped me build this in my shed, and if you ask any South Australian who the Datsun enthusiasts are in our state. Those people probably had a hand in building the car. You know the saying. Team Work makes the Dream Work.
I owned a 180BSSS as a kid and we raced one in the local rally scene with various levels of success. Like every 50 year old man, a time comes in their life to build the car they owned in their teens. So that’s what i did. Would you believe i swapped a grandma spec auto 180BSSS for this 1972 SSS Spec 180BSSS. The rest is history.
