While on assignment in Canberra I decided that with my spare time I would do something I'd always wanted to do and that is to build a kit-car. After investigating the options a Cobra was too big a project on my own and then I read an article "Build a Westfield in 7 days" which made it sound straightforward, so a Westfield was ordered. Well 7 days became almost 12 months but the finished car was worth it. I had 10 years of fun, fun, fun in it. Talk about quick but at only 600 kgs and around 100kw you would expect it to be quick - but it would still surprise. I'm going to do another when I retire.
