History
Off to Melbourne and naturally this was a good excuse for a change of cars and I just fell for the Walkinshaw. It was not everyone's taste and divided opinion and as one of the motoring mags said at the time "you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear but you can make a %$#@ing fast pig!" Having owned one I concur fully and with only around 800 made these are collectors items today. I still wish I had it in the garage. Apart from the speed and decent handling and braking, and it's individual looks of course, I remember it's interesting handling charactistics in Melbourne wet weather along tram-tracked roads - very interesting indeed.
