History
High-performance engine and 7-speed gearbox (overdrive on 2, 3 and 4), a spacious cabin with walnut dash and steering wheel, and black interior made it stylish but sporty. It did go too (that is when it went at all). I recall, and have a witness passenger, taking on a 911 Carerra S through the twisty roads in the midlands and passing him down the last hill just before we got into the straight roads and then I cruised into the petrol station before he could wind up on the straight and take me - I felt good anyway. Unfortunately, it was British and in the nine months I owned it I had 2 clutches and 3 cylinder-head gaskets blow; so since reliability was still important it had to go.
