History
Purchased second hand, history unkown (I suspect not well loved). Anyway it was a useful commute and a lot of fun; during gymkhanas I learned what fun front wheel drive and a handbrake can be! Not the most reliable of cars and ultimately succumbed to a broken crankshaft (that was my second broken crankshaft and I still hadn't figured out what caused it). We fixed it and traded it on a new car with warranty
Modifications
Everyone had a mini cooper didn't they?, the boy racer brick. Mine had been bored out to 1100cc and had a lumpy cam. It was noisy but handled well but on long runs could be really annoying with wind noise and road noise and of course a lovely engine note.
