History
My first "NEW" car, purchased from Bessant Motors in Launceston. It was my only car at the time and being a member of, what was then, The Light Car Club of Tasmania it was used in Gymkhanas, track days, 1/4 miles, rallies and I even got my CAMS licence and raced it without success. Eventually the poor thing expired (rings shattered and made a mess of the aluminium heads and had to get towed home from the track behind an XY GT Falcon). I guess for something that could easily rev to 11,000RPM (n rev limiters then) you have to expect these things. I couldn't afford to repair it and sold it to someone who thought they could.
