I purchased the shell over 25 years ago to be rebuilt as a club car, weekend racer, but it got out of hand during the build. I'm very fussy and we ended up building a pro touring tuff street car. The car is fully engineered as is and is legally registered with a 427 big block chevy for over 25 years.
Modifications
BODY: 11/77 A9X CRASHED SHELL, REBUILT WITH LATE MODEL COMMODORE FLOOR PAN, AND FLAT BOOT FLOOR. FULL 5MM CHASSIS WITH 45 DEGREE RAILS & SEEM WELDED.
PAINT: House of Colour Tangello
BRAKES: Hoppers 330 kit with DBA slotted disks. Stainless booster and SSB Polished master and calipers.
WHEELS: 4 Centreline 17 X 9 AND 1/4 WHEELS, and 2 17 x 11 with Nitto 17 x 315 tyres.
SUSPENSION: Nolathane bushings throughout, adjustable swaybars and tubular controll arms with Rose joints.
ENGINE: MERLIN X ALLOY BLOCK, 4340 CALLIES RIFLE DRILLED STEEL CRANK, STEEL 4 BOLT CAPS, ROSS GAS PORTED 11 / 1 PISTONS, L2300 7/16 FULLY FLOATING h BEAM RODS, 675TH ROLLER CAM & LIFTERS, CNC BRODIX-2 HEADS, BG SHEET METAL MANIFOLD with TWIN EDELBROCK THROTTLE BODY DIRECT PORT Injection, Crane in dash 20 degrese adjustable timing retard. Aerospace vacuume pump. 120 GPM EDELBROCK injection Pump. MAZIERE electric water pump, engine Completely re-built 2011. Alloy sump with diamond windage tray and crank scraper. 90 litre alloy fuel cell plumbed to external standard location.
ENGINE DYNOED: OVER 700 HORSEPOWER AT 6600, MAX RPM 7100
GEARBOX: Magnum T56 with Centre Force DFX Clutch
DIFF: STRANGE 9 inch with shuregrip slippery centre, Moser billet 31 spine axels and Chrome molley pinion support, 3 way adjustable top arm location, 3.91 ratio.
TAILSHAFTt: Mark Williams 3-1/2" Accu-Bond MMC Aluminum Driveshaft Aircraft Alloy with billet ends and yolkes.
EXHAUST: 1 & 7/8TH TO 2 & 1/8 STEP HEADERS, 3 &1/2 FULL EXHAUST OVER THE DIFF, CERAMIC COATED WITH STAINLESS MUFFLERS
INTERIOR: FULL RECARO, DOOR TRIMS, REAR SEAT & ROOF LINING. DASH IS CARBON FIBRE WITH AUTO METRE CARBON FIBRE GAUGES.
