History
The Datsun 1200 SSS was a product of Datsun NZ.
It was raced at various tracks around NZ’d and took a class win in the Bensen and Hedges 500 at Pukekohe and a 2nd at Levin (pictured). Yes, that is the back of "the Ross Stone" of V8 Super Car fame.
The car was owned by Ken Flashman and co-driven by Neville Bailey.
Team managed and mechaniced by me.
Modifications
Twin Dellorto’s, extractors and cam fitted prior to going into the production car.
The interior had high back seats, a centre console with a clock or tacho, cant remember which.
Mag wheels (the early one’s of which used to break) and a fancy body strip completed the exterior. They went very well and could do a genuine 100 MPH.
