It was badly damaged after hitting the armco because of a sticking throttle at Bay Park Raceway at Tauranga (now gone under houses). It was rebuild with the suspension mounting points in the right position as they had been changed in England. The car originaly ran under the Rothmans Ecure’ banner and won both formula ford races and came third in the the Formula 5000 race at Pukekohe. The driver, Neville Bailey also won driver of the meeting.
