History
I have owned this car for more than 25 years. It was off the road for the last 12 years due to not having room to work on it (no shed) or the funds. I started pulling EVERY nut and bolt off it with Bathurst running in the background (18 oct 2020) I managed to get the entire car nearly to just a shell in the 1 day. I then spent every spare minute working on it as well as running a business, cut all the rust out & welded in new sections, rebuilt everything with new parts where I could. De tarred the underside too that was fun (not) about 4 days to do! Blasted and 2 packed the sub-frames. Painted the car in 2 pak Nardo grey. I am no spray painter by any means! there are many imperfections in it but it didn't come up too bad for a home paint job in a dirty shed in winter (tasmania). I wanted to do as much myself as possible, I just wanted a car I built. I didn't do the wiring I'm no good at that stuff and my loom was a scary mess! I also didn't rebuild the gearbox I paid a professional to do that as I wanted it right. I finished putting it all back together and was registered on 8 Feb 2022 and to this day 15 Jun 2022 not one thing has gone wrong with it (so far haha). Interior isn't quite finished yet but its respectable enough to use for now. Other things I will change in the future is go back to standard cones as the red dots are a little too stiff and its a bit rough on the country roads. Looking to maybe change wheel centre colour in the future also, a car is never finished!
