History
MOTOWN was my first car and it was love at first sight. Have owned her for 24 years. After being my daily driver for the first 5 years, she was stored while I left Australia for 10 years. On my return car underwent a full restoration. In 2014, the original 200 Pursuit motor suffered some damage and it was time to upgrade the power plant, I wanted to keep it a 6 cylinder but with some grunt, I also wanted something different to most other people. So after some excellent guidance from my mechanic, we finally decided on a Ford 221 with an aluminium 2V head. After testing four 221 blocks, we finally found a good example. Engine bay now has hidden everything, all you can see is the beautiful motor as if its floating in mid air, I absolutely love the end result. At the same time, also rebuilt the brakes, transmission, diff and suspension. She's now ready for the next 24 years of cruising.
