History
Bought for my daughter when she wrote off the Volvo wagon. I needed a car for her fast and went to look at this. The lovely little old lady gave me tea and cake. It was pouring rain. I drove it around the block and gave her the money and took it home. In the reality of daylight next day, I saw it was an Australia produced car. To say it had some rust would have been an understatement. The next two weekends were filled with repairing the worst and giving it the most rough paint job on each side. Even so, it was reliable but I soon received a letter from the EPA or some government department saying I had to cure its smoking habit and bring it in for a roadworthy. Fortunately I kept the motor from the wreck and put it in one Saturday. No smoke and happy RWC mechanic. She drove it until she moved in with a partner and he was not a fan of Volvos. She gave it back when he found the most horrible Hyundai Excel. My younger daughter eagerly took it and it motored on for many months until one of her friends wanted to buy it. I gave it to him and he motored for many years through University and his first year as a teacher.
