History
My employer changed my position and lost my work vehicle so I went looking for a car to take it's place. My sister and her sons raved about their Volvos so I found this one at a good price. A pharmacist had the car completely reconditioned for his daughter but she refused to drive a Volvo. I loved it. It had been converted from a panel van and had the most uncompliant springing but it went around corners like a sports car. Likewise it had a very low gear set and accelerated very rapidly, excellent for those impromptu traffic light Grand Prix. I drove her for 12 months at which time I regained a company car so I gave it to my 18 year old as her first car. It lasted 8 months and it was given an opportunity to demonstrate Volvo safety. After leaving a wet corner at a way too fast speed and hitting two guard rails, a large stone bank and several trees, the only panel that escaped damage was the rear hatch. Thank you Volvo. My daughter was a bit miffed that she was late for Uni. I kept the motor and gearbox and went looking for another for her.
