History
The Vortex Was purchased Second hand in 1991 by my Late Brother-In-Law ( who passed away nearly 3 years ago of Cancer). He Owned and cherished the car and in 20 years of ownership clocked up less than 60,000kms. The car only had 121,000 kms on it when I inherited it. The car sat for about 7 years while he was overseas and a few issues needed to be addressed before I started driving it. The Engine needed to be pulled out and apart to chisel the baked on sludge left over from the coolant being emptied and the car run to "dry out the engine" prior to storage to prevent rust etc. the car sat at the mechanics for over 12 weeks before the repairs were "completed" I got the car back just before Christmas 2012... but the car still exhibited overheating problems... several trips back to the same mechanic and finally a trip to another... finally sorted the issue and Driving the car was possible... Issues started arising, such as the power steering pump started leaking (fixed) the exhaust fell apart (Completely replaced from engine to tips) and About 4 months ago the Clutch cable Snapped (also because of the first mechanics ineptitude) Yesterday I finally got the Cable replaced (as it had been sitting since it snapped due to sourcing a cable) and she’s Back on the road.... It’s a Great... Very Rare Car and I really have bonded with it. I Love the sound of the new exhaust and it’s a pleasure to drive.
