I purchased the Camaro back in 1988 without an engine however the Muncie M22 Rock Crusher gear box & 3:73 LSD 12 Bolt diff were still in place along with the four leaf multi-leaf suspension so a Big Block was purchased to place into the Camaro. I purchased two genuine GM rear quarter panels back in 1990 and had the rear quarter panels installed as I didn't like the flared guards. My intention was to track down a period correct "MO" 302 small block Chev for this Camaro and place the genuine GM "Winter Foundry" Cross Ram intake manifold onto a 302 small block, however this never eventuated as this Camaro was sold after purchasing a genuine 1968 SS 396 Camaro.
RHD and Big Block Chevrolet engine. Both rear guards were flared however two factory NOS GM Camaro rear quarter panels were purchased back in 1990 ($1200 each) and rear quarters were repaired back to original, the car was then sold before being resprayed.
