History
I was fortunate to find this car for private sale locally, and although it was far from what I had in mind at the time, after I went and walked around it and had a good long chat to its owner, I simply couldn't go home without it. Quite simply, for a car that was built in Germany back in June of 2004 (very first of the new model), and the combination of it having just 160,000 km on the clock, it was in absolutely immaculate condition. The guy had purchased it for his wife off the original lady owner, who had driven it to 80k in Brisbane then changed over. He flew up there, bought it and his wife who drove it here in Melbourne for around ten yrs, then when it came time to upgrade her, one of his two daughters had just completed year 12 and before heading off to Uni needed a car so it made too much sense to place his daughter in what is a very safe car. She drove it for three yeas, graduated and decided to reward her efforts with another newer car so hence why it became available to me. After personally working in the automotive industry for ten years I had a pretty good idea of what to look for and after not only enjoying a lovely , smooth test drive, I checked all the books which where all in order and completed for every service, and in the end I simply couldn't fault the car both mechanically or its pristine condition throughout. It was just one of those rare discoveries where a very well built car to start with had been meticulously looked after in all regards. An absolute peach. I went home, made a few checks, and that night transferred the whole $6,000 into the sellers bank account, and picked it up within a few days WITH a RWC included ! I've now been driving it for six months and not a single problem has popped up, not even a rattle. Even better, from what I can tell, it's completely factory, and all I've done is make sure it receives the best fluids and fuel, and apart from a little B9 touch up paint and a few alloy centre caps, it for me, presents and drives like e a car that is half its age with half the kms on it. A definite keeper.
