Not overly sure what it’s larger background was at the time I owned this crazy Beetle, I bought it off my older brother as my first car back in 1988 when I lived in Sydney. It was heavily modified and apart from what you can see in the only photo I have of it attached here, the engine was worked, it was loud as buggery, the inside had two racing seats only and the entire interior from floor to roof was covered in red shag pile carpet. Back in 88 I was finishing off my HSC that year and at the time I was able to get my full P plates and would you believe for the last few months of school I would pick up all my mates, who would pile into the back of this thing and I would drive us all to school. Apparently the teachers weren’t all that impressed when they heard me coming from about a km away then pull into the school car park in front of everybody and it was like 5 clowns falling out the back of this black circus on wheels. Loved it ����
