History
This beast used to be my daily run around and was until we stored it at my parents shed for 10 years. It wasn’t until I grew older that we decided to restore it with the help from a mate. I now take immense pride and joy in the car and appreciate all the finer details from the wood paneling and tiny back windows, which wind down. The shape of the car stands out and reminds me of something from Gone in 60 Seconds, which was a favourite movie of mine growing up. After re doing all the paint over a 2 year time frame, you begin to appreciate the craftsmanship that went in to these old vehicles. There was plenty of patience and resilience and now it’s a car that I’m incredibly proud of and will one day pass on to my son. The new deep blue colouring is a stand out and I get plenty of compliments from avid enthusiasts. The licence plate was added for a little touch and it does TURN HEADS.
Modifications
We tweaked it slightly from the new paint job, exhaust and the removal of the mud guards and side panels to make it look a little sleeker. The interior hasn’t been touched at all. I didn’t want it to lose the initial value and purpose.
