History
One of only 50 Australian delivered convertibles. I believe they were all Noble White and all were non turbo. They were over $60k new ($140k in todays money) and were expensive to insure. First owner was from Fremantle WA but purchased from Essendon Mazda Victoria, presumably due to the limited numbers they were unable to obtain one in WA. 120,000klms from new. I believe it was broken down and neglected for many years hence the low klms. I shipped to Sydney and restored to lovely driving condition.
Modifications
Totally standard except for BBS wheels with Mazda centre caps. These German made wheels were unique to the convertibles and were ultra light to help offset the extra weight of the convertible chassis, although the fifty Australian delivered cars did not have them. I do have the original polished alloy Turbo style wheels that the car was delivered with but I love the look of the BBS wheels.
