History
Missy started out as a post war Singapore Foreign Service Vehicle in 1951. She was then sold onto Australian ownership and found her way to Sydney in the early 50's. She is an original right-hand-drive, 170Va with her original owner's handbook in English and full workshop manual. She was stored in a barn near Coffs Harbour around 1966 for nearly 43 years, when she was found by her previous owner. He removed her from her grave and restored her to a beautiful 1938 Mod Cabriolet with period-correct attributes finished in caramel over milk chocolate. She has covered a mere 56,000 miles of which only 3,000 miles has been covered since restoration in 2008. She can be seen being driven daily around the streets of Perth and Swan Valley and is often seen on country trips to surrounding towns in the Wheat Belt. She is in fine condition and a pleasure to own. She boasts a 1.7 litre side-valve matching numbers engine with a gravity fed fuel tank and Solex 30BVLS updraught carburettor. She happily glides along at 80km/h and will reach a top speed of 107km/h eventually. She represents the finest example of the longest running production model of Mercedes Benz - 1934 to 1953.
