I purchased the vehicle in 1995 and have looked after it by keeping it out of the sun as much as possible. These days the car is only used about once a week for shopping and has been 'brought up to scratch' by renewing (mainly external) items needing replacing. Internally, the centre consul has been refurbished by the 'Dashboard Doctor' in Melbourne and new moulded floor carpet (including the front side panels) has been supplied by ALLCARCARPETS of Montrose Vic. Otherwise, the car is in original condition throughout - except for the aftermarket sunroof and rear louvers which, along with the cassette player, fully represents the era to which the vehicle belonged.
Recently I purchased a set of 'Supercat' tyres - which also define the 70's/80's era plus some personalised number plates to add the finishing touch. Underneath the bonnet I have resprayed the rocker cover, side plates, air cleaner and fan guard - adding new decals as appropriate.
In conclusion, having just passed 270,000 km's the car not only looks and sounds great but (being well maintained) is as reliable now as it was when I bought it....Mike
