History
Started life as a persian sand 6 cylinder automatic SL.
Lived in Victoria where I found it after being some one else’s aborted restoration.
Bought it and stripped back to bare metal and every last nut and bolt.
Repaired and in process of reassembly....
Update.
Now has club registration and now undergoing rebuild testing.
Found some things that need attention.
So the journey is continuing.
Aiming for an as new Torana built with all the bits of how I like them plus must have total reliability.
Update.
Pretty much sorted now, adding the five speed transmission and power steering has
transformed how the car drives.
Though regretting not adding air conditioning during the build as Queensland’s hot humid weather limits it getting out a lot.
Modifications
Warmed over V8, 5 speed manual transmission, 9" diff, flare kit, late model UC brake and K frame upgrade, power steering.
