History
This car was one of about 300 TDs produced in the UK during the first year of production; 1949. It originally came to Australia as a competition sports car but was still found to be too heavy to compete with the already successful TC models, Piccaninny, was later built up in Melbourne as an Australian Special in the late 60s and it won the overall MGCC (Vic) club championship for 1972. I bought her in 1984 and after gaining a Certificate of Description for the history of the car, have competed at many circuits around Australia. Memorable historic competition events include 1988 Bicentenary event at Oran Park, MG Specials Feature race at F1 event in Adelaide and 2008 FoSC Event at Bathurst.
