Purchased in 2015, the low mileage Bedford was in pretty good nick - a few little dents and rust spots but a genuine one owner.
Modifications
Complete back to metal repaint, addition of the 'easyroller' body kit from the late 70's, new 14 x 10 and 14 x8 hotwire rims with BF Goodrich Rubber (period correct) Any rusted body parts were replaced with metal body parts hand made for this build through Adrian Baily Classics in the U.K. Engine in pics recently removed and upgraded to a fully reconditioned 202 - Vintage air air conditioning has been fitted, Mecedes Bucket Seats - wrap around dash board, complete fit out into the rear, custom made red bubble windows turbo 700 transmission with highway diff 3:55 - Body built and painted by John Evans from Racepaint in Mordialloc- the well respected panel van guru reponsible for the original Coca Cola 3xy giveaway vans as well as some of the top show vans in the late 70's early 80's. She was built as a tribute wearing the original colours of the first 3XY giveaway van in 1978 and the full body kit from the second round of 3XYgiveaway vans in 1979/80. I get stopped everywhere go so people can talk about the good old days or just take some pics. She brings back a heap of memories which is exactly what i set out to do in the rebuild. Recently underwent a complete rewire now featuring a dual battery set up for the Coke Fridge etc.
