1971 Australian Delivered Ford F100
Full ground up rebuild
5.0 litre revamped with GT40 heads and an aftermarket USA EFI management induction. Hooked to a four speed auto Dual 2 ¼” pipes, the 302ci roller cam. Windsor is potent enough without problems.
Backdated with a first generation grille and headlights.
Stance is perfect thanks to an EL Falcon IFS from the Pickup Place grafted to the stock chassis and a notched
rear end suspended by coils and a four-link fabbed by Viking Hot Rods.
Simple baby moon capped black 7”and 8” smoothies are wrapped in 145 and 225 50r x16 rubber front and rear.
I opted for a Patina paint job so truck didnt have to have a showcar shine all the time. (ie I dont have to wash it...) but designed so no panels are required to be unbolted if an even
colour of Twilight Green ever needs to be applied.
Raised bed floor and smoothed one-piece inner fender wells incorporated into the perfectly straight and rust free complete bare metal restoration.
Outfitted with modern suspension, steering, brakes and EFI V8
with cabin comforts such as Vintage Air A/C, Hidden Bluetooth tunes and a heated seat
Custom air-pod dam concentrates cold air into the intake for EFI emissions and mass sensor components to work as factory fitted thanks to a modified AU wiring loom by Heathcoat Auto Electrics.
Pro Comp Fox body Mustang styled EFI induction adds a little hot rod performance to the
302ci Windsor V8.
Dakota Digital provides accurate instrumentation to the stock gauge panel while keeping old school looks intact.
Woodgrain steering wheel and collapsible tilt column were supplied by Australian Rod and Custom Components and fitted with breakaway mounts for NSW safety requirements.
Concealed behind the factory bench seat is the myriad of tune tech that’s all operated by Bluetooth via phone. Benny Stitch at Southside Stitching is responsible for the high class interior upholstery, stereo system, cabin sound deadening and central locking.
All work has been carried out by licensed repairer MVRL55523 (Viking Hotrods) and has passed a VSCCS report (engineers report).
