The rolling chassis was fitted with a sedanca de ville body and delivered to France in 1938, following the owner's death the car was bequeathed to her friend in Canada. Later it was shipped back to London and a funeral director had the interior completely stripped to allow for two rows of seats in the back and used it as a mourning car. A fellow club member bought the car in London and brought it back to Australia where he later traded it for a new Volvo! The new owner commenced restoration but had not got very far when ill health overtook him and we became the proud owners at auction of a very rough shell and two pallets of bits and pieces. The car was then painstakingly restored over a five year period to the original specifications, finally being completed in 2000.
