The kit was built on licence by Meyers Manx Australia has a fully integrated six point occupant protection system. The fibreglass body and is registered on the Meyers Manx international buggy register.
I've wanted to build a fully registered road car for years and recently had the chance. This is my last major project
Modifications
This vehicle has been fully engineered on order to pass ACT road registration. Every change from the standard '68 Beetle to what it has now, including the LED indicators, wipers, electronic demister etc. has been assessed for suitability and fitment.
It all started with my dream to build another hot VW motor having build several back in the '70s when I was a kid.
The motor has a 78mm stroke with 92mm bore, H beam con rods, chrome molly push rods, 1.25 ratio rockers, mild cam, some head work and dual 36mm Weber carbs.
Runs and handles nice.
