My first brand new car. I was just 20. It took over 30weeks wait from the factory but worth every minute. At that time Peter Brock was promoting the 4 door Monaro so I just had to have one. I didn't get the 350 as the insurance was too high, the 308 was in the same category as a V8 Kingswood, so I could "afford" that.
It had factory LSD, dual exhaust, M21 gearbox. I had the dealer delete the black panels and also paint out the "gills" on the guards.
Modifications
Very mild, extractors, Davies-Craig cooling fans (very hi-tech for the day!) 2" lower front springs ( I loved the Trans-Am look) fitted a rear anti-sway bar and some very good shocks which stopped the axle tramp.
