First Mercedes out of about 12 that I have subsequently owned. The standard Mercedes 190E was nothing to write home about in performance terms but I just loved the lines and so the 2.6 version with all the bells and whistles was the obvious choice. An extremely capable and comfortable cruiser with the only drawback being that infuriating gearbox that took off in 2nd gear!
